Hey, I'm I Gusti Bagus Ngurah Satya Wibawa, S.Kom. — a software engineer and graduate student based in Bali, Indonesia. I've spent the last seven-plus years building web and mobile apps across different industries, picking up a fair share of lessons along the way. My bachelor's in Information Technology came from Universitas Udayana, which gave me the fundamentals that still anchor my work today.

Day to day, I write code mostly in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Dart — bouncing between Angular, React, Flutter, and Spring Boot depending on what the project calls for. I care about code that holds up over time: readable, tested, and not over-engineered. Whether it's a customer-facing app or an internal enterprise tool, I try to keep things practical and focused on what actually matters for the people using it.

I'm also back in school — pursuing a Master's in Information Technology with a concentration in Data Science, a journey I started in mid-2025. My research revolves around Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), large language models, and token optimization. Specifically, I'm looking at how to make RAG pipelines more efficient without sacrificing answer quality — because sending thousands of tokens per query adds up fast, and most of it isn't doing real work. It's a space that moves quickly, and honestly, that's what makes it interesting.
